A good example of why IWL has never gotten a genuine shot at test level

Yeah it was silly however his arm first connects with Jacombs forearm then rides up to a seatbelt so probably only a penalty. Low degree of danger.

Still hes not quite good enough for higher honours for mine.

If he wasn’t so lazy and actually had brains he’d surely have gone on to higher honours. A shame really.

Once again, it is beyond me how Fakatava is rated so poorly by our national selectors.

Jacomb and Kneepkins have been absolutely schooled by McClutchie and Sullivan on how to run a backline attack.

As in the reference or did you think Jacomb was any good?

Jacomb reminds me a bit of Perofeta in that in wide open games he can look a million bucks but it doesnt always translate in tighter games

I do think the hype is over the top - of course that's not his fault.

He's still young so let's hope he continues to improve.

@KiwiMurph Yep. He's a Sopoaga level talent, not say B Barrett level... that said, the All Blacks are crying out for someone of the level of Sopoaga (circa 2014-2017).

Playing week in week out under pressure should hopefully iron out some of the kinks. Didn't think he was terrible tonight, but hard behind a pack which was going backwards.

I take your point about Jacomb.

Remember Perofeta did create that try in the first test against England last year to break the game in a tight test match

Anyone who thinks Jacomb is responsible for that loss has holes in there head. Our forwards had one of their dumb and dumber games tonight. The ball when they let it go was in almost every case shit!
We have had a few games this year we have done that, and have relied on Jacomb to pull us out of shit.
Unfortunately we had Poliki at 8, who when he is at 6 or 8 just tends to lose ball and make wrong decisions.
Gut that's the way it goes, some real dumb decisions made altogether, Hawkes Bay were down to 14 with halfdack off and we took kick for goal (got it), then we are the team down one we take a scrum from right in front and Poliki loses the ball picking it up off the scrum after picking it up when we had HB scrum back pedaling .
Still been a good season and I can relax and ebjoy rest not worrying too much who wins.
