    @gt12

He's done so much impressive stuff.
The way he closed out the final of the World Baseball Classic in 2023 against Mike Trout completed the sale for me.
I think maybe the Japan GP would have taken more note of that.

The national team stuff really does add some acid to a game.
Those MLB players usually always look so chilled, that was the first time i'd ever seen them all lookin super stressed for a whole game.

Not happy about it - I think the plucky Mariners have punched above their weight to get this far, but it looks like the pressure is getting to them. Can't see them pulling off another heist.
Would be fucking happy to be proven wrong, but...
Gonna be an intense atmosphere this evening at the local brewery.

The heartbreak and wait continues for the Mariners. The Blue Jays are off to the WS for the first time since 1993 with a come-from-behind 4-3 win.

I didn't know where he'd gone until now. That's a bad beat, at the hands of a one time cheat 😭

LOL. If he's in anybody's head - I suspect it is his own.

I was supporting the mariners , love an underdog story ,

But I do think Toronto had a more even spread of talent with their hitting and pitching.

    I saw a stat , Seattle bottom 3 batters ( 7,8,9) collectively hit .098 ,
    Toronto same hitters hit.284 .

I lost count how many times through the series Seattle had runners on base for the bottom of the order to not capitalise , I suspect they need to look at strengthening 2nd base , left field and right field , if they had more hitting from those , they are probably in the WS right now.

Game 1 to the Blue Jays. One big inning blew the game open but the hitters got to Snell.

Going to be an interesting series ,

I was listening to Derek jetter , and he think the dodgers have the best starting pitchers of all the teams but their bullpen is probably just average and thereabouts.

Toronto on the other hand bat really deep , aggressive hitters right through to 9 , the dodgers will be hoping their starters can get on top, throw deep into the game and will be very concerned about having to go to their relief pitchers too early, as we saw what happened yesterday.

Dodgers won Game 2 yesterday 5-1.
Will Smith and Max Muncy hitting homes runs (Muncy is the Dodgers' all-time postseason home run leader)
Yamamoto was epic for the Dodgers
    9.0 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 8 SO

Series now heads to Los Angeles for Games 3, 4 & 5.

The billion dollar man keeps delivering.

This is a good one, top of the 8th and it’s 5-5

Now in the bottom of the 13th still tied at 5-5 and bases loaded after intentionally walking Showtime and 2 out.

    Out.

We go to a 14th inning.

    Amazing
Had to leave it in the 12th.

They walked Ohtani 4 times! 5 if you wanna include the don't throw it close walk.
He was walked with none on in the 9th, the first time any one has made that call since 1955, and then they did it three times more.
And Betts is always the batter next up, and he's really f'n good!
Ohtani was on base nine times.
    Got picked off stealing tho.

Ohtani is starting pitcher tomorrow; or is that to-day . . .

But the Blue Jays are good.
