Ashes 2025/6

Incredible performance from Starc, basically all of his wickets were to superb deliveries as well as opposed to the batsmen giving their wicket away. With his two partner's in crime out injured he just decided to do it all himself, unreal that he's still putting performances like that in at 35. Aging like a fine wine.
Not over yet though, this Aus batting lineup is brittle, a couple of early wickets and it'll be all on.

Oz has some guy called Doggett on debut as the third seamer. His State record isn't fabulous.
Harsh marker. He has 190 wickets at an average of 26
Probably, but I sort of think someone who's played that much and averages 26 in first class is probably going to struggle to average under 30 in tests - and that's not what you expect from Oz.
However, having had a look at him - he looks pretty useful!

Come on Archer! Great start, that was plumb

Stokes gone. Australia far too good for England.
Brook will get a hundred and the tail will wag to make things competitive.
Lol nar
That’s why I don’t gamble.
Oh, and your Rugby team is shit

I'm not a big fan of Mark Waugh's commentary when Oz are giving us one of their regular reamings, he can be pretty harsh and abrasive.
But, he's probably just about the most astute commentator going around.
He’s probably not even the best commentator in his family
-
@MN5 I've got a feeling Steve would be at least as harsh.
Getting out to a shit shot at a crucial time, with the Waugh twins waiting for you in the dressing room - you'd probably be best to walk off on the other side of the ground, hail a cab, and go home!

England were bowled out in 32.5 overs. It was the shortest first innings in an Ashes Test in Australia since 1902.
Oz could very easily have a first inning lead at the end of the day at this rate although these two are batting at glacial pace compared to England so far.

Based on how the English are bowling they could be all out by the end of the day too. I can't remember a more interesting first day where a team got bowled out.

Was the right approach from Marnus and Smith though, get to Tea no more wickets down and take some shine off the ball. England really need early wickets in the final session
