There is a suggestion that Brown might have a release clause in the event that Joseph is the AB coach.
i wouldnt be surprised, he was always clear he only wanted to do it with JJ, turned down fozzie and razor didn;t he?
-
If Brown is getting released from SA it would have to be for Joseph being offered the head coaching role, no?

@SouthernMann Not sure if it would change anything, but I meant something like making a statement about making another statement at a later date, rather than confirming anything.
Even those cam be hugely problematic and can take a lot of oversight and approval.
There is a lot of personal capital at stake with this shitshow.

Just a shame that The Breakdown isn't on air at the moment to really dig into the issues...
They can fuck right off. As can Ross Karl, Kirst and Beav and co.
We were getting better reportage and opinion on forums like this than from the pro's.
The dogs on the street could see all was not well in camp. Strange squad omissions, 2 coaches quitting mid tenure, fringe players going overseas almost exasperatedly (Stevenson, Sotutu, Akira).
And the media (im looking at you Mils, Goldie, Bryn Hall and Parsons in particular), just hand waved everything away as development, and alignment tweaks and messaging, and learnings other corporate word salad nonsense that fucked me right off.
We have walked like a duck and quacked like a duck for years now. The coaches were shit, and a fair few of the players are shit too. We all know it, and in the likes of Beaudy's case, he knows it himself.
All we need is an adult in the room to tell a few home truths and toss out some of the garbage.
Razor should have dropped Savea and a Barrett early doors to let everyone else know that nobody was safe from the cutting room floor. But he ran it on "the feels" and look what has happened.
> Razor is at home alone with a tube sock while Rassie fucks the prom queen.
Nobody will ever care Razor was nice and nobody will ever care Rassie was a dickhead.
The ledger and trophy cabinet is all that matters.
There’s a good meme in this

I'd love to see the smile on Sotutu's face right now.
Any chance he can cancel that Newcastle contract?
Would he even be interested in doing that and staying now does anyone reckon?

thats what i wold have thought, and seeing Razor had been announced when Tony went to SA they wouldnt have been crazy to think it would be a long shot for an AB coach to get the sack within a couple of years

I know one of the upper managers at Asics NZ (who sponsor many Super + AB players).
The sponsorship circles have heard rumours it's Jamie Jo & Tony Brown coming in.
-
Ok so this what I have amongst all the rumours etc take it for what it is.
The Board is being presented the Review findings today.
Razor has not officially been sacked yet the Board has to vote on it.
Probably will happen as the Board normally goes with the recommendation's from the Review.
Razor has asked to present to the board before any final decisions are made.
From a good source but there is many different stories out there. -

And I can see South Africa agreeing to that. A couple of years ago, they would have thought there was no chance it would happen.

@ShaquilleOatmeal exactly what i was thnking, and i think he would be unappolgetic about it "i told them one condtion is if the opportunity to work with JJ at the AB's comes up im out"

I feel like we need a TLDR - time line - review.
From the beginning of the rumors and talk about the players reviewYou said it was a quiet day at work, go for it
-
I hope the review is more exhaustive than the comments on here:
"But he has a combover!" "He's not even the best coach from the bay"! "He doesn't get to have sex with Alan Gilpin the CEO of World Rugby, unlike Razzie!" -

Ardie going to Europe is complete bullshit from his agent.
Leinster can't afford him (if they're paying him anywhere near the EUR 500k they're paying Jordie and Rieko.)
The Top 14 season is 30+ games long and get paid less than in Japan. They'd also expect him to hit a ruck as a loose forward.
Not many loose forwards hit rucks, that is what tighties or second arriving players do.
Guess who should be the arriving players Dan? McCaw hit a fuckton of rucks to secure ball. So did Cane, Papali'i, Kaino, Messam, Masoe, Kronfeld et fucking cetera.
Yep and McCaw retired 10 years ago, before the jackler winning the ball first became the seeming be all an be all. I not saying they hit none, but these jokers all played in a different era. You watch the game these days , midfield backs get as many turnovers than a lot of forwards etc..
So a response to an argument that I didn't make.
I didn't say turnovers (the very thing Ardie gives up ground defensively to attempt), I said hits rucks. Loose forwards from other teams still seem to arrive quickly and shift bodies. I wonder why that is.
