So who has played their last test?
This is quite an interesting question.
Is team Razor disruptive. Are they going to be shitty.
Is a guy like Codie Taylor, albeit still playing great footy too closely aligned with Razor following more than a decade of playing under him.
Codie has been one of the best players! Def first pick at hooker.
Bower has actually done a good backup job, not sure why you are including him. I don't think SB is the problem but he's not my pick for captain (even given the lack of competition).
I say pick the best players, as long as they play as a team and aren't toxic. -

A rumour i've heard from a current NPC Wellington player:
At some point this season Ardie & Rieko started being left out of the leadership meetings. Can't imagine that went down well if true.
Is Rieko a leader? Doesn't seem to be a confirmed first in position player any more despite his experience...

Unless Brown had a special clause written into his contract, SA would be bonkers to let him go, surely?
got a mate with decent contacts who reckons this is in place.. if JJ gets the gig
can't wait to see if it's decent sauce!

This will not go down well But JJ is a fan of Ennor especially after the AB XV tour.
He did play well but his record for the ABs has been patchy. And his fragility is legendary. Still, not many great choices at 13..
-
Codie a good shout through the next RWC but hes a hell of a lot closer to the end of his careers than the start, if he was made captain i would hope someone younger made vice captain or given captaincy of "smaller" games

As I said, there are players going well. Some are Razor guys. Have been for over a decade. It is up to the new coach to have honest conversations. You just don't want to have lingering loyalties to a former head coach.

He was in the leadership group I believe

oh, you may have more inside info than I have had. Codie may have stood up for Razor and co but if he is unpopular with the rest of the team...
-
@KiwiMurph yeah I thought he was part of it.
Watch him carve up this weekend now for Leinster.....
@Chris to be fair to Ennor, had probably his best super season, so if he replicates that, deserves a call up.

If Ryan stays the tight five will not change.
cant be that simple, dont think JJ would put up with an assistant trying to tell him what to do

The core problem is the loosies though, people don't complain too much about the tight five. Well, maybe SB as starting lock. And where/when to play Vaa'i I suppose...

Nah not at all. I'm just thinking about a guy who has spent his entire playing career in Scott Robertson teams. From his debut with Canterbury in 2012 through to being a senior AB.

I don’t think it’s about telling him what to do but he is going to trust Ryan’s judgment or why keep him.

He is undisputed as a starter, I would imagine he has standing in the group. Could be a Tana type bridge at a time when the new team need stability. Ardie always said he didn't want the captaincy. And SB has been worse for it
