You say 'should have' and that is analysis based on outcome rather than situation.
IMO there was a higher chance of the pass being disrupted and a turnover created than an overlap being used.
Argies pushed the pass and it worked out for them.
There is a big assumption from those criticising NMS' decision that he would have been able to tackle the opposite winger who would have taken the ball at speed and, as he showed, is evasive and strong. He made two other ABs look like complete numpties on his way to the line. It could have been three.@crucial Could not disagree more. That was an awful piece of defending by NMS that a schoolboy coach would be livid with. The inside player was covered. You don't rush up and double team the ball carrier - that is some weird winger defending that you see in league a lot. You stay out on your man and use the sideline as your friend in defending and trust your inside defense (when it was 2 on 2 as it was). You don't create an overlap by coming in to tackle a guy that already has a defender on him.

Figallo is their best TH, then Herrera. Both world class. Massive gap to next ones (who specialise at getting airbourne against ABs!).
At LH, Roncero was superb, then Ayerza also first rate before retiring a couple of years ago. Since then, nothing. Don't know Paz.

finally got around to watching the highlights of last weekend. It's not exactly a NMS highlight reel is it? I know what he was trying to do with that first try, but he didn't have the footspeed to get there (and it was a terrible decision). And then watching him try to get to the corner? jesus, square wheels much?
Argies scored some pretty tries, loved the blind pop in to the hole.

Remember last year when he got that intercept that 99% of test wingers would have easily turned into a try at the other end? It was embarrassing how easily he was mown down.
