RWC: Japan v Scotland (Pool A)

I have no love for the sweaties but my preference is for Scotland to win by less than 7 pts without scoring 4 tries. Therefore they win but lose.
As long as Ireland beat Samoa today and pick up a bonus point, otherwise Japan will finish on top under this scenario. Ideal situation is for Ireland to pick up 5 points, Japan to pick up 1 and for Scotland to pick up 4. This way we will play Japan.
The forecast for Tokyo next Saturday is for heavy rain and strong winds. This will suit Ireland more than us so come on Scotland!

Yeah, I am assuming Ireland gets 5 pts against Samoa so top Pool A.
I don’t think that’s happening. I’m predicting a low-ish score.

challenge: name something the Japanese make that isn't bloody good.
Porn. Japanese porn is creepy and horrible. You can show a man raping a schoolchild, sure, but you have to blur out any genitals, because that's offensive?
I also thinks their comics and cartoons suck. But there does seem to be a small but vociferous group of opposite opinion.
I also have no music from Japan in my collection. Japanese music is mostly not very good -- even if you like bland pop, then K-Pop is better.

@Bovidae and @akan004 don't know why you would prefer the All Blacks play Japan in the QF's, that is not the talk of champions. We should be praying to play Ireland so we can get revenge for the last game!
Rather take the easy route like SA in 07. Ireland could beat us, especially if it's wet.

Probably because it’s easier to win two consecutive difficult games than 3

Trying to make sense of predicted track maps shows Hagibis well North and moving off shore by afternoon on Sunday.
So the weather should be fine, potentially awesome, for this game.
Just can't be sure what state the stadium and transport infrastructure even electricity and comms may be in.

mods: what's the drill with swearing? Are we still avoiding it because google hates us? It's very annoying (very was the third or fourth word I'd choose there. Grrr.)

Coffee. This is what happens when you learn pastry from the French, beer from Germans, whisky from Scots and coffee from Americans.

Apologies (for WW2 atrocities committed)

Can someone enlighten me as to why Scotland are melting down before their game has even been officially cancelled?
@Nepia cos of AB special treatment...
-
@jegga said in RWC: Japan v Scotland (Possible) (Pool A):
You bet your arse they'd do something different if it was the abs, people actually want to watch them play.
That is true, but he does realise that our match was cancelled right? Denying us a chance to get some players into a proper RWC "match" (I use that word in the broadest of terms).
Really weird how how these bellends can turn everything into a comparison with the ABs (which they will lose). Aura I guess.
@Snowy @jegga I do wonder though that if it was say England or NZ that needed to play to qualify whether or not the outcome from World Rugby would have been different. I'd like to think not, but I'm not so sure. Now this is not a dig and either team, more taking a view on the commercial decision that World Rugby might have taken.

Exactly same as all the head-games that coaches pull out before matches, to try and influence refs' thinking.
Just trying to put that extra tiny bit of pressure on, to prod any 50/50 decision towards it being played.
I'm being optimistic of course... Occam would argue the alternative that they are just complete fucktard whinging tosspots. -

We will never know so theres no need for the Italians or Scots to try and drag us into their public meltdowns over the cancellations.
