@Bovidae I reckon Leicester will need an absolute stormer (and Clarke have a shocker) this week if he's to get a game for the real ABs this tour.

I think it's quite a bit more likely that we'll see Reiko on the left wing than Leicester vs England.

It's almost shaping up for that - otherwise Caleb will start 4 games straight.

Ioane back to the wing is a shit idea

Why? Have you seen how much chaos he causes for the opposition whenever he's shuffled back there? If ALB covers centre to the standard Ioane does, which is highly likely, then it's not as shit an idea as running a bumbling Clarke there.

I've never been a fan of the Havili/ALB midfield because they are much too similar players, their skillsets don't compliment each other, there's no point of difference, lightweight sideways running, who crab across the field away from their support...

That’s offset by BB’s direct running from ten, a big pro of his game over RM.

My recollection of the Ireland series was more crab running and our 10 and 12 not complimenting each other.

Someone has to straighten the attack. And that player shouldn't be the 10. Maybe we will play a similar pattern to last week and get to see DH running straight and hard

DH running straight and hard typically results in DH being driven back 2m in the tackle.

As much as I don't like DH at 12, I certainly hope they tailor the game plan to suit his skills. Using him in the se manner that we use JB would be idiocy

Quick question, with Clark's skillet being power and strength, why don't we see more of him coming in off his wing off 10/12? I'd have thought he'd be well suited to running that line off his wing off set piece.

I think they've tried but the invisible tackler gets him before he can even get close to the ball. It should be illegalised.

He’s up against prood Scotsman Sione Tuipulotu who is certainly no shrinking violet. I do wonder if Havili is up to it.

@Canes4life it has been mentioned as a reason why the team was not named on Thursday, or whatever day they are supposed to do it

Been a busy week so haven’t been reading the thread much. Will be nice to have a day game in Scotland for once.

Some of us have to get up for work on Mondee though.

As will I so might have to tape it potentially.

Quick question, with Clark's skillet being power and strength, why don't we see more of him coming in off his wing off 10/12? I'd have thought he'd be well suited to running that line off his wing off set piece.

He did that in the last game.

@Steve Now and all fairness, and I don't think Havilli is good at 12, when the pack dominates he operated a lot better. But Jordy will be back to 12 for England unless Foster is a twit.

Would there be anyone here who prefers DH at 12 over JB, especially against England? Not me.

We aren't playing England though. Not this game.

I don't get this obsession with expecting the best 23 every game. We have to decide own and develop a full squad for next year. Sometimes there will be a need to shuffle a little. Sometimes it pays off too.

But don’t make two changes when one will do. Leave Jordie at 12 and let Havili or Perofeta play 15.
Jordie is still in the team . Let him build continuity in the role . Think about how many games nonu and smith played. Look at Ringrose and Henshaw. Owen Farrell. Centres need minutes in the shirt.

We can’t have Jordie being a 12 one week and a 15 the next . He should be left at 12 until the World Cup. Sewn up . Signed and sealed.

If Scotland can’t do it this time, they never will

                                      That’s their best side

Five test Lions in the backline.

The Fagersons go alright too although making a lame gag at their surnames did get me banned from a FB rugby group.

Scots rugby fans really are snooty, dour, humourless fucks which makes it hard to support them sometimes.

I’ve never seen such an uninspiring crop of allblack wingers over the last 5 years or so.

Hang on, why was George Bridge playing instead of Rieko at RWC 2019?
