I don’t mind it. They should try and incorporate a party atmosphere. I think Chch with the new stadium will be a success.

I will probably travel to watch this. If it was in Welly or auckland probably not

Highlanders are definitely playing, as we are playing a home game there. Likely means we are playing the Waratahs or Moana. Leaves the Crusaders to play the Drua.

Brumbies and Canes, and Blues vs Reds on Saturday I believe.

Friday and Saturday will be the sort after days. I think a lot of those travelling will head home on Sunday.

Financially better to have it as a home game. 30k crowd and gate takings v what would turn up at the Cake Tin to watch a game against the Brumbies? They'd make more money!

I'd guess teams will be clambering to have this weekend as 'home games'.

IIRC all teams received a fee for playing in Melbourne. The Force should get some money too.

Probably 15-18k going on recent seasons and the fact the Brumbies are a bit of a grudge match these days for us. Good point though.
