We really do need to start asking questions about the competence of the coaching set-up and the choice of captain.

That is at the heart of the problem. The McCaw era ABs made sure they executed the basics to a high standard. These guys don't, and don't even seem to try. Without exaggerating it feels like we would made 20, even 30 simple errors in the match.
