@Landers92 Over the years there's been various media people who have posted here and confirmed that quite a few other media people are lurkers.

Can they man up and start calling for Savea and Barrett to be dropped?

Big bros form fell off a cliff and he was jettisoned quick smart for Ioane if memory serves. No fucking around from Hansen.

If he was just a bit younger he’d have racked up 100 tests as well.

Jeez was Carisbrook 2001 really the last time the Wallabies great the ABs in NZ? 😞

Burned in my memory is a test balance of 3-8 from that era.

Australia hosted the Olympics - invested massively in sport (...and probably PEDs...he said darkly) 🙂 - and beat the shit out of us at everything.

    It was an awful time!

    Rieko, ALB, Proctor.......all crap.

They're not that crap though, not really.
Rieko was good in the last WC, Proctor has had a great Super season, and ALB is a long-term AB - he may be past his best, but he's not actually a terrible footy player.
My point being that none of them are as bad as they are being made to look in our backline - which suggest the problem is not whoever plays at centre - and that means parachuting in Leicester solves fuck-all.

I think one of the biggest issues the ABs have is not having a carrier in the midfield. That is one of our major competitive advantages over other countries we have (yet don’t utilise it).

Even though they’ve been mediocre recently… Rieko, ALB and Proctor would benefit massively from having a big, direct ball-carrier inside them.

Other teams don’t fear our midfield and will gladly run the blitz defense, as nobody in our midfield can break the defensive line or even the first tackle.

I thought Jordie was supposed to be the big carrier, or did he just seem that way compared to David Havili ?

Clear as day. I don't know who (Duluth would know, but wouldn't be allowed to share), but there will be plenty of players, coaches and media who read on here.

Jordie was carrying hard when he first moved to 12.

If you look at stats for 24 September 2022 against the Wallabies:

    Jordie Barrett
    17 Carries
    81 Metres
    7 Defenders Beaten
    9 Passes

Jordie can carry it over the gain line but that is not part of Robertson's game plan. Robertson's game plan is about getting it out to the wings with back door passing and the first five either static or running diagonal/sideways.

He threw his weight around at Leinster too.

What I know is mostly word of mouth stuff

Always loads of journalists lurking. In recent years there's been SR players, a SR assistant coach and loads of family members posting. I'm sure there's plenty I don't know about

Going way way back my favourite example was when a current AB Lock was criticising the AB Hooker and saying he couldn't throw. Somebody corrected him about his lack of lineout knowledge "actually it's a lot more complicated than fans think.."

There was an OKish SR player a few years ago who kept suggesting himself as an AB bolter

He’s big. But too tall and skinny to be a primary ball-carrier. Look at how the Saffas launch themselves at him… They chop him down like nothing.

I’m quite firmly of the belief Jordie should be our 15 and a Tupaea / Timoci / Leicester should be at 12. A carrier at 12 gives hesitation to the blitz D and they can’t just fly up and nail the likes of Jordie.

I agree, but Aussie was a piece of piss back then. He’s not doing that vs the elite teams (SA & France)

@SouthernMann if true, that is both good and bad...

Good that one of SB or Razor realises that SB isnt the right option, but bad cos of how Ardie seemed to drop his bundle last week like many others....
