@akan004 from that same article; "Personally, yeah, being in 32 hotels and going around the world a few times, but I think what’s required of me every week, how do I set the group up, the management group, the team, we talk about being all in, we talk about serving our jersey on the field and our people off the field, so how can I shape and bring the legacy along with us.
“I feel like I’ve made a real connection to that piece and personally, how can I get those simple messages across to the group? Look, I said before, it’s fine margins, and there’s a lot of expectations that come with it. So how can you refine your messages so the boys are clear and then just go and play and trust themselves.
“I feel like I’ve got a lot better in that regard.”
He's fucking delusional.
Imagine listening to him and Hansen for a season.....
Much prefer Rsssie's "that performance was dogshit" messaging.
Clear, concise, and you know you are getting beasted at training and/or dropped next week.

The Herald has spoken to several high-profile Kiwi coaches based overseas, who say that while they love their country and want teams in black to win on the world stage, they have no interest in coming home because they don’t believe the high-performance system is operating at best-practice levels, and they don’t trust NZR to consistently make good decisions around coaching and management appointments.
Some coaches have said they fear NZR has become dismissive of what it could learn and borrow from other countries and that it has shut itself off entirely from the rest of the world, which is partly why they say the All Blacks’ defensive and attacking patterns are outdated and ineffective.
Thats a grim, deflating read.
We are in trouble folks.
Big trouble. We have Scott Hansen coaching the side with Razor doing the pilates side of things and have to tour the republic for 4 fucken tests next year!
One thing that really annoyed me about the 3 part Razor wankfest run by Jim Kayes was when he was extremely dismissive about getting experience overseas and said something along the lines of 'Why do i need overseas experience? I spent time over there as a player!' He lost me right there. Did he think he'd walk into international rugby thinking the opposition was the same level as the Waratahs and Force or something?
I really think we make too much of saying you need international experience.
Sure test rugby is different but its still rugby. The laws are the same, the quality increases but who shouldnt be shocked at test rugby is different than super rugby
Funnily enough Grubs, one Sam Whitelock said he thought the assistant coaches weren't experienced enough at test level rugby in his book. I also remember Ryan saying when the Crusaders had a really tough game coming up and he made comment it will be test match intensity, Whitelock told him he was talking bullshit, no comparison he said. Not sure if Sam had enough experience to know?

Probably not -

WTF?! That word salad was completely incomprehensible.
He said a lot of things without even once mentioning coaching the team. Is he even a coach?
No, it appears we've been had. He's the feels guy. Kirk should read that and pull the trigger without hesitation

Watching the opening of Aotearoa Rugby Pod is a joke. Parsons reckons we've been dominant on defence all year until we let it slide vs Wales and England. I guess he didn't watch us vs SA in Wellington, and the stats on The Breakdown.
He's a mouthpiece for the players and is being told what to say by NZ Rugby.

No edge to the organisation from top down.
We have a no dickheads policy.....we actually need a few dickheads in the building and on the pitch.

I don't think these days has got much to do with that to be honest bro, tough decisions have forever often been tough precisely because some people won't like them.
Also is an arsehole a dickhead? Not necessarily I reckon. -
@KiwiMurph thats the thing, Parsons has a very analytical eye when it comes to rugby, when he was playing they had him on the radio in a regular spot talking and he was always very insightful, similar to O'Halloran.

Having only listened to a couple of episodes recently, Parsons seems like he's trying to come up with excuses for how poorly the All Blacks are playing. He points to random statistics or moments in the game and tries to make out that's all that's wrong. 'They would've won if it hadn't been for that one little thing there.'

He looks like he's thinking really hard too, so maybe he is trying to find obscure ways to justify how shit we are

We have said the same thing in different ways.
We need more disagreeable people. Not careerists. We need people to not be afraid to challenge the status quo and people who are not just going with the flow.
Graham Souness alluded to Liverpools current demise and he said “I know we are in real trouble because nobody on the pitch is angry, they are not fighting with each other or challenging each other”.We have players who don’t get angry with each other , a coaching team who don’t seem to get angry with the players. Players who don’t get angry with opposition .Players and coaching team who don’t get angry with the lawmakers and a board who doesn’t seem to get angry with the slurry we are being served up.
No passion.
Need to see some one giving or receiving a fucking rark up.
