how the f*** does an Irish paper break that news before any NZ news site?
(Hopefully it's true)
He's a legit rugby journo

Meanwhile, the only rugby related stuff I can find on the Herald is about BB's holiday in Fiji.

Irish Examiner can publish it because there are no repercussions or sanctions from NZR to them. They won't be denied access to the All Blacks.
NZ journos will be waiting until the official NZR statement before they can push go on what they know
Yep. I think the style of journalism in this country lends itself to a reveal all after a sacking, rather than a sensationalist headline.

i kind of wonder whats the point if youre just repeating the offical press relaease

Together We Walk might also have new meaning tomorrow.
That Together We Walk shit was cringe-worthy. Thank fuck someone saw sense and ditched it pronto
It was an early indication of the surface level intelligence applied to the appointment. Like someone had watched a TED talk on motivation and their takeaway was an easily repeatable common theme .

Disagree re Christie. Not a huge talent and shouldn't have been picked (esp. for the EOYT), but played his heart out.
You just described me. Where's my Test cap?

Not sure there are any 'former All Blacks coaches' available that would necessarily add a whole lot to the coaching regime. Hansen is locked in overseas while Henry hasn't been properly involved in high-performance rugby for a long time, it's a completely different ball game now. Can't imagine John Mitchell is viewed as the man to do the job either.
Joseph is probably a good short-term option. He's a bit like Eddie Jones or Michael Cheika, good at getting results quickly but the players are put through the wringer.

One News now reporting Razor to piss off
-
Tony Brown is the key for me. If we can get him back then I am comfortable pulling the trigger. Otherwise it seems like a bold call to move on from Razor. But, the review must be scathing.
-
I still feel for Razor, all the dreams and aspirations of being an AB's head coach, get the gig, only for it to backfire horribly and be fired. That has to be tough on any human. Given Foster and now Razor the AB's head coaching gig is starting to turn into the same thing we saw at the Wallabies.

One News now reporting Razor to piss off
The New Zealand Rugby Union are expected to confirm today that All Blacks head coach Scott Robertson has been fired two years into his four-year contract.
1News understands a review into the 2025 season has been scathing of Robertson’s coaching and leadership, with NZR chairman David Kirk deciding to pull the pin on Robertson.
The recent review was undertaken by Kirk, NZR board member and former test hooker Keven Mealamu and former NZR high performance manager Don Tricker.
Player unrest has been building even from the end of 2024, Robertson’s first year in charge.
Under Robertson the team has registered 20 wins from 27 matches, a 74% success rate, but that’s been mixed in with some shock and heavy defeats and also, to many observers, a lack of improvement or change.
1News understands many players believed Robertson had “lost the dressing room”.
Robertson had a long run of success with the Crusaders in Super Rugby, but that hasn’t been translated into the more pressurised and cut-throat world of Test football.
All Blacks assistant coach Scott Hansen is also expected to leave his role. It’s unclear if forwards coach Jason Ryan will remain.
Current Highlanders coach Jamie Joseph is the clear front-runner to take over the All Blacks role.
