Not sure if this or the right forum for it, but the delay in the CEO search is down to money. Several people have turned down the role, including the Six Nations dude as the salary is nowhere near what those who they have gone after are requesting.
We are never going to be able to compete in terms of money. Makes more sense to find a Kiwi because they are more invested in NZR, someone with a reasonable degree of competence that can work well alongside Kirk and the board

While we are all generally down on Robinson's performance, I assume he did not act in almost all cases without running it past and obtaining approval from the board? If so, they are as culpable as he is. Kirk is still the key. If he can run the board in a relatively professional manner, the board will provide solid support and the CEO does not have to be the smartest and best in the room. They do have to be a people person and be able to connect and search out deals and opportunities

Haven’t got names, but there are Kiwis who have turned the role down… it is obviously well below market-rate.

Yes, and good riddance I'd say. I have faith Kirk will hae that side of things running reasonably smoothly

That's the first thing I thought of.I have not checked but has not the $NZ taken a dive in the last year or two (19%?).
This will have a big affect on any one under consideration from overseas.
This has been giving extra impetus to the player "exodus" as well.NZR had two boards (one was commercial) but they were merged last year, and some members were moved on/out.
With Kirk there, not bothered who is CEO, not sure how long his chair term runs tho.
