I don’t know. Henry completely changed his back 3 because of high ball weakness. But ABs look v vulnerable under the contestable high ball and the Boks will be licking their lips on that.

Yet he was the best lock in the country when the decision was made. He had surpassed Retallick and Whitelock as the first choice lock in the 2023 season. 2024 he is selected as captain.
Sure, question some of the decision making on the field, but let’s not rewrite history about where his play was when the decision was actually made.

@LagerLout short memories here. I can remember a couple of stinkers against Argentina in NZ that would trump this one. This Argentina side is a better one than the ones that beat NZ in NZ.
NZ weren’t good enough against what is, on their day, a very good Argentina team.

Savea is the obvious choice. He’s got the backing of most of the players, not sure Barrett does as captain tbh.

He’s been in the leadership group for 8-9 years. He frequently finishes the match as captain. He clearly doesn’t make much of a difference. Different voices are needed ASAP. The old heads are not going to do it
