Dunno any details, but thinking Cam just got the best deal by a player in the history of the ABs.

o we, and having a coach would help, but let's not tell them that. This is 100% better than us having to pretend there is some dry powder.
Invisible dry powder. Manufactured by the Emperor's Clothes Ltd.
It's a homoeopathic remedy, 99.9% pure water

I saw this and thought it must be some sort of George Gregan meme......
the truth is a far more pleasant surprise. Terrific news. One of the few genuinely world class ABs going round the traps at the moment.
Does the contract mean Roigard can't coach and manage the All Blacks - as well as captain the side and do the on-field tactics?

Correct. Riley Higgins has been shoulder tapped for those jobs.
-
Do we know if Joseph and Rennie can work together?
With what’s available, that appears to be the best outcome imo, rather than have them competing against each other and losing one , get them together if it works .

Roigard and Higgins coaching combo. Could be a game changer.

I expect they would have to ask them and may well have done so. I don’t buy this ‘too many egos’ argument. If I were a New Zealand coach, I’d be desperate to be involved with the All Blacks. The only coach to publicly say they weren’t interested unless they were head coach was Scott Robertson and that might have been an early sign that he didn’t want to be exposed if he couldn’t delegate the role.
But we're in the wrong thread.

Careful! He's fragile!

Thanks , I wasn’t aware that thread existed , thought it was a bit quiet here considering

Sure why not
Let's hope those injury woes are behind him. There isn't another halfback to match his game breaking abilities.

Allblacks V Springboks September 12th 2026.
In Baltimore......
A shit hole.
Jesus H Christ.
Twickenham would be better than that.
Ugliest US city. Highest criminality rate.
Good location in terms of proximity to North East population though.
A better stadium than the current Washington Commanders dump too.

Couldn't they have chosen New York? Philly? Boston?

Those 3 cities are all being used for FIFA World Cup games this year. Whilst the dates dont clash - that's probably enough disruption for one year sporting fixture wise.
I'll also add - whilst Metlife Stadium in New Jersey is being forced to switch to grass pitch for the 2026 FIFA World Cup (including the final) i'm pretty sure they are reverting back to their shitty synthetic pitch for the NFL Season. They have the worst turf in the league. Foxboro near Boston has synthetic turf too for NFL.
Baltimore has a natural grass pitch. So does Philly but there may also be issues with dimensions with some of these stadiums in terms of the ability to fit a rugby field in the stadium (I believe Solider Field in Chicago technically doesnt meet the requirements but receives an exemption).

Yeah plus I would imagine Baltimore are throwing money the way of the two unions, or making it worth their while some way or other. NYC or DC or many of the other cities have no reason to roll out the red carpet - they have plenty of international visitors coming to town at all times of he year.
It's a smart play for them -;they are amongst the teams bidding to host matches in 2031 and this will give their bid a real boost since they will be able to point to successfully hosting a test match. I believe they have had the Springboks there in the past too.

$7m to NZRU according to herald

@KiwiMurph the other thing is the grass needs to be for rugby, so often the non-rugby pitches tear up massively.
