Credit to Razor for not dragging it out or going publicly toxic .
He gave it his best crack.
We move forward
exactly, i think fozzie should probably have done the same earlier, the team culture might not have been as bad as now but it was clear he was out of ideas
I just think that the likes of Fozzie got gun-shy after the previous decade of success.
They had shared too many beers and too many battles with Beaudy, TJP, Cane et al. Brothers in arms.
They couldnt make the hard calls when the time came.
You cant have an over the hill game driver having so much influence on the team. Its one thing to carry a geriatric hooker or prop in a squad but your 10? Come on.
Even the New England Patriots parted with Tom Brady in the end (and he went on to win another Super Bowl elsewhere) , the Bulls with Jordan, Man United with Roy Keane. It's never easy but the show must go on.
Razor and Fozzie made difficult jobs far harder than they needed to be.
Razor in particular has made a complete mess of his chance.

not meaning at all to make this a razor v Fozzie thing ,thats been done to death,
but i do find it very interesting the players turned on him as opposed to going into bat for Fozzie , love to know more on why .

Yeah this is re the informative Smudge post.
Seems any sort of "main stream" media in NZ is super careful about what they say about NZ rugby, ABs in particular.
Almost like they are happy for foreign media (ireland FFS) to get it "out there" then they feel safe to comment on that. But TSF doesn't give a flying fuck about any of that BS.
And all that Liam Lawson Stuff is kinda weird.

The curious thing in all this is that it sounds like the senior players led the charge, but they're also the ones that have benefited most from the Razor regime.
Beauden Barrett, Ardie Savea etc have benefited from Robertson's blinkers, but it sounds like they want him gone.

It sounds to me like
a the players had problems with Hansen (and strategy)
b Robertson didn't listen to them and/or make changes
c when he said Hansen was basically doing the coaching that just turned everything nuclear for players (and possibly NZR and some support staff?)NB it wasn't just Mealamu and Kirk reviewing, they also had ex high performance guy Don Tricker back..(or at least contributing from overseas I read when he is part of review boards things generally change).

Maybe so, but perhaps even they didn't like losing so often and so badly

Foster selected BB at 10, and was absolutely getting fired until he made the change and shifted him out for good.
Razor put BB back at 10, kept him there, and now has been fired.
New coach better look at patterns

Rumour has it even BB was scathing in his review of that decision.

BB is nothing more than a bench player at best. Ardie will need power players around him to do the grunt work, and should be rotated out to the bench at least
